Make way for the young’uns

Jill Oakes and Lauren Cheney both had to pull out of USWNT training camp. Oakes for a knee injury and Cheney because UCLA are total dicks. Okay, USSoccer is calling it “academic commitments.” I respect education, Obama respects education, and Lauren Cheney does too. So she’s out and it’s time to make way for the younger kids…
Christine Nairn. Midfielder and participant in the recent U-20 World Cup.
Ella Masar. Forward and future Chicago Red Star. Member of the U-23 WNT.
This is the first senior team call-up for both. At the end of camp, coach Pia will cut the roster to 18 for the upcoming Algarve Cup competition in March.
