Players to Watch
Josh Lambo GK This is a young keeper that was at one point rumored to be off to Everton to be the understudy to American goalkeeping sensei Tim Howard. Lambo now resides next to the Ikea in Frisco and plays (sits) his club ball for FC Dallas. Loads of potential. Like all of these little rugrats, he is one to watch for the future.
Jorge Flores M The one, the only, El Sueno. Famous for winning the Chivas USA tv contest to earn himself a youth contract. Has since moved up to the first team where he has dropped 3 goals this year. Garnered respect from international scouts in his last youth nat team appearances. Already has 2 goals in U-20 play. Every time I see this kid I just think of the hundreds of thousands of kids like him that must be just waiting to be discovered.
Brandon Mazonelli M Known for his time in the Villarreal academy where he dropped a handful of goals, but I guess didn’t do enough to catch on. Comes home and gets picked up by the Revs through the whack allocation system of the MLS. Haven’t seen him play yet, but he is a BigSoccer celebrity in the Yanks Abroad forum, so he must have the dangle sauce.
Brek Shea M Yeah, he’s that dude. Still doesn’t see much PT in the league (did I really just refer to MLS as the league?), but the rumors of Man U interest persist. Here is another chance for him to show his goods, let’s see what he does with it.
Ahh the hope of youth…
